Is Fast Weight Loss Really Attainable?

Our way of life has given rise to many problems that need to be addressed.  If we were to list these problems in order from most significant to least, obesity would be right near the significant end.  Another problem that is also related is that we are all very impatient.  Believe it or not, these two things are very much interconnected.  We tend to be impatient and obese because we live very fast lives and we expect everything to take place in a short period of time.  This view of the world reflects heavily on how we approach weight loss as well.  Taking that into consideration, fast weight loss can be possible.  Let’s face it, we are not going to see instant or over night results.

Of the problems associated with fast weight loss, the expectancy to see results in a few days time is at the top of the list.  This can be accredited to the commercials on radio and TV claiming to be able to see these results in a quick time period.  It is true that you may be able to lose six or seven pounds in a short time period but it may not appear so on your body.  What needs to be done is to stay positive when you do decide to undergo one of these fast weight loss regimens.  If you work them consistently, they will work well for you.

One of the best fast weight loss programs that you can possibly do is to go on a low glycemic diet.  The glycemic index is simply an indicator of how quickly a sugar will be released into your system from a carbohydrate.  The quicker a sugar is released, the more of an impact insulin will have on your body.  By eating carbohydrates that have a low glycemic index, the sugar will be slowly released into your body.  This will enable your insulin to use it up more efficiently, just how nature intended.  As a result, no sugar will be stored as fat in your body because it will have been all used up.

There is a catch.  Your body cannot live off of carbohydrates all by themselves.  With every meal, a quality protein such as beef, fish or chicken also needs to be consumed.  You also need to make sure that you include legumes, such as black beans and lentils with your meal.  Each of these will help to build your body up and keep it going strong throughout the day.  Eating this way at every meal will help you to lose weight as a surprisingly fast pace.  It’s the easiest method of fast weight loss that is not only going to work for you quickly, but it can be sustained throughout your entire life.
